In Step Behavioral Health's Approach to Managing Mental Health
Many regions of the brain serve highly specialized functions, yet all must work together to help us make decisions, organize our lives, and manage our mood. Our brains are influenced by not only by our genes, but also by our life experiences and the world around us. For these reasons, medical treatment of mental illness requires a thorough assessment that includes obtaining personal, medical and family history, identifying psychiatric and medical symptoms and establishing social and developmental history.
After reviewing our findings with the patient, we will then work together to develop a plan of action that establishes well-defined and attainable treatment goals. While the treatment plan may include medication and/or therapy involving multiple providers, coordination of services will be directly managed by In Step Behavioral Health to assure excellent continuity of care.
