Jennifer King (Jen) is a board-licensed psychotherapist with over 25 years of experience supporting individuals to achieve greater health and wellness. Jen works closely with clients to help them strengthen their mind, body and soul when confronted with a variety of concerns such as:

Ms. King works with clients aged 18 and up and has experience in working with veterans, those seeking holistic care and members of the LGBTQIA+ community and their families.
Jen uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and person-centered therapy (PCT) in her sessions. She is able to further support individualized treatment plans by drawing upon her training in Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness and Meditations, hypnotherapy and the use of energy work. Jen works effectively and confidentially when collaborating with other practitioners as needed or desired.
Jen is passionate about supporting clients as they move toward inner awareness and expansion of living to their fullest potential. Her approach is both unique and effective as she often applies the same tools and techniques she has refined during her own personal growth and self-discovery journey. Background and Education
Jennifer King has worked in partial hospital inpatient/outpatient settings for both adults and adolescents, providing case management, psychoeducation, group therapy and family sessions. She graduated with her M.A. as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). As an LCMT** Jennifer’s skills in somatic and energy work strengthen her approach to the therapeutic healing process, blending Eastern and Western evidenced-based therapies.

Jen provided psychiatric care at the nationally acclaimed Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital for seven years where she worked across multiple out-patient service lines including SIRS (Self-Injury Recovery Services). As one of ABBHH’s self-injury experts, she supported clinicians and patients across the system, and has presented on self-injury behavior and emotion regulation through continuing education unit (CEU) webinars and speaking engagements to various schools, academic professionals, and parents throughout the Chicagoland area.
Prior to joining Alexian Brothers Jen worked at Edward J. Hines Veterans Hospital treating veterans with severe mental illness, PTSD and addictions. Her knowledge and understanding of civilian and military cultures were instrumental in her support of veterans and their loved ones through cultural assimilations and adjustments.
