Dawn Soderstrom, NP

Picture
Dawn Soderstrom is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. After many years of working in Oncology with cancer victims it became clear a critical component of healing is the correlation between mind, body, spirit and the impact of social support and the importance of healthy human connection. As a result, the transition to psychiatry was imminent. The care she provides is multifaceted and structured, with individualized, thorough assessment of symptoms, diagnosis, medication management, and therapy, combined with professional monitoring and evaluation to ensure progress.
Dawn treats patients  18 years and older with a wide range of difficulties, including Depression, Grief/loss, Generalized Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Social Anxiety, Panic attacks, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, and spirituality. Her goal is to provide care, support, and guidance through education, knowledge and compassion.

Dawn completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Lewis University in Romeoville, IL. She is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center in IA and IL and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurse Association, the Nurse Practitioner’s in Women’s Health, and the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation.

Personal interests include: travel, serving as a mentor to undergraduates interested in pursuing a career in Advanced Practice Nursing, interior design, and biking. She has a passion for her faith, animals and volunteering at the local homeless shelter.
