Catherine Ryan, LCPC*

Catherine “Cat” Ryan is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 10 years of experience working with adolescents and adults. She completed her Master’s at Wheaton College, and has worked in community mental health and outpatient hospital programming. Cat is skilled in conducting both individual and family therapy, and has served a number of roles over the years including managing crisis programming in community mental health, serving as the lead adolescent therapist, and the school liaison for an outpatient program. She believes in creating a cohesive treatment team for her clients, and sees the value in consultation with families, local schools, physicians, and hospitals.
Cat is trained in a variety of treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She enjoys working with adolescents as young as 12, as well as adult clients. She has experience with treating a variety of mental health issues including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, stress management, personality disorders, LGBTQ+, work stress, school stress, grief and loss, anger management, family conflict, and communication. She strives to help her clients find healing, and to embrace their authentic selves.
When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, baking, watching B movies, singing along to songs and getting the lyrics largely incorrect, as well as wrangling her dog and two cats.
