As a dedicated DNP PMHNP, Chad Schusler is passionate about providing comprehensive outpatient mental health care. With a focus on patient-centered care, he is committed to helping individuals manage their mental health conditions and achieve optimal well-being.
Mr. Schusler believes in creating a personalized approach to treatment that addresses the unique needs and goals of each individual. His goal is to empower clients to take control of their mental health and live fulfilling lives. |
Among Chad's areas of expertise are:
- Diagnosis and treatment of ADHD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, PTSD, schizophrenia, and other mental health conditions
- Tailored medication management plans based on individual needs and preferences
- As needed, providing Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and other evidence-based approaches to help clients develop coping strategies and improve overall functioning
Over the past 11 years, Mr. Schusler has continually advanced his professional growth from registered nurse through licensed advanced practice nurse with a specialty in psychiatric medication management. He strives to build strong therapeutic relationships while fostering a safe and supportive environment. Chad is skilled at making accurate clinical diagnoses and creating effective treatment plans based on thorough evaluations.
A critical aspect of Chad's scope of practice is medication management. He performs safe and effective prescribing that carefully considers potential side effects and interactions. He takes time to ensure the patient understands and agrees with the overall therapeutic approach, which may also include counseling and/or psychotherapy.
Since 2015, Chad Schusler worked within the inpatient setting at Central Dupage Hospital in Winfield, IL. Through this experience, he has proven his ability to collaborate very effectively with other healthcare professionals, such as primary care physicians and psychiatrists. Over the years, this has led to Chad frequently receiving feedback from patients as well as clinical staff attesting to his ability to support and provide excellent continuity of care.
