Anna Rohrbacher, MD
Dr. Anna Rohrbacher is a Board Certified psychiatrist with 17 years experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Prior to joining ISBH, Dr. Rohrbacher worked as an inpatient psychiatrist for the State of Illinois serving the severely ill and forensic populations. Additionally, she has 10 years experience as a lecturer and preceptor to medical students as a faculty member at UIC. She is now offering comprehensive treatment for adult psychiatric conditions in person at In Step's St. Charles clinic. Telehealth visits are an option once care has been established.
Drawing on her extensive experience in private practice, community health, and inpatient settings, Dr. Rohrbacher takes a holistic, evidence based approach to treatment. She employs the biopsychosocial model, considering the intricate interplay of biological, psychological, and social factors that contribute to mental health conditions. This individualized approach allows her to tailor treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient, in step with specific goals and urgency

Dr. Rohrbacher earned her M.D. from Wright State University School of Medicine in 2003. She completed her residency at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago in 2007 and went on to pursue additional training in therapy at the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in 2008.
Dr. Rohrbacher is Board Certified in Adult psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She has a special passion for caring for people diagnosed with mood disorders, schizophrenia or those refractory to first line treatment.
